This past weekend we decided to go backpacking in Henry Coe State Park. 4.3 miles and 1,800 ft later we arrived at a nice camp site next to Coyote Creek. This is only one hour from San Jose, but because you are over a ridge or two, there is no traffic noise and we only saw a few planes, so out of flight paths as well. The park is 140 square miles, so you see more wildlife than people.
After setting up camp and exploring the creek, we came back to make dinner and watch the wildlife moving around. I got the camera set up for star trails and this is the result. The weather was perfect so I was able to watch the stars from tent, no rain fly needed :)
